Our Alaska River Series Flip Mitt is the best of both worlds. You can wear these gloves as a fingerless glove or flip the top to become a mitten, your choice! Designed with anglers in mind, these windproof fleece gloves feature a slit finger on both the thumb for easy knot tying. I have had these for about a month now, and use them on my bike commute to work in the cooler months. For the price point, these are great; they keep my hand warm and block the wind while allowing easy use of my fingers for adjusting straps and other gear. The only drawback is that the hole that is cut into the grip of thumb (that allows the glove to fold back) is not reinforced, so the hole has already started to tear after a month of use.

So glad these are still being made! I bought these to replace a pair that I bought at a store in Alaska almost 16 years ago! They are the best thing I have found for Ice fishing. Keep your hands warm and still be able to have dexterity to bait hooks and take fish off that hook! Please don't stop making them!

These gloves are ABSOLUTELY AWESOME! They are very well designed and made and do a perfect job of providing warmth while keeping your fingers available for the tasks of fishing in cold weather. Thank you so much!!! I'm glad that a I bought 2 pairs, one for my fishing buddy!!!

replaced 4 year old pair. I had to sew up about one inch of the end of the flip mitts after a couple years, but they were fine after that. the neoprene thumb tip finally wore out on one glove. I use them mostly for photography, but also occasional kayaking in colder weather and cross country skiing. I live in central new york and frequently visit the adirondacks. the flip thumb is the weak the weak spot and the first component to fail after 5 seasons of moderate use. If you can improve that, you would get the full five star. A nice product overall at an attractive price point. You should actively market to photographers.
