Reviews for Glacier Glove Perfect Curve Gloves Second pair of these, I am a rafter in Oregon so our season starts when the rain and snow hits meaning drysuit and other warm gear and these are my most favorite gloves, they stay dry unless I screw up and then I am sorry but the gloves are still warm regardless.. RATING REVIEW BY PDXFLYER / (POSTED ON 4/17/2017) GOOD GLOVES, WOULD BUY THEM AGAIN I had Patagonia gloves before. Both seem pretty similar but Patagonia is some usd 20 more expensive. Used the gloves in the Hamptons in January. After 30min the hands got cold. Important is to try to keep hands dry as long as possible. Don't tighten the wrist bands too much so that blood circulation remains without problems. So overall good gloves. Cheaper and similar to other brands. RATING REVIEW BY FLORIAN / (POSTED ON 2/5/2016) AMAZING GLOVE FOR COLD WEATHER KITING, WORTH EVERY PENNY! These gloves are the ticket for cold weather kiting. I have kited in a snowstorm with these gloves and my hands were warm and toasty (water temp 45F, ambient air temperature 30F, winds 25-35knots). The rubberized exterior minimizes evaporative cooling and makes the gloves warmer than a traditional neoprene glove of the same thickness. It also makes them "grippier" for holding on to your bar. The fleece lining makes it much easier to put them on and take them off, and also helps to make them slightly warmer than simple neoprene gloves. The curved grip of the gloves is really what makes them great, however, as it eliminates the forearm pump you get with other straight-fingered neoprene gloves. I have some Hyperflex 5mm surfing gloves that I have tried for kiting and the fatigue is noticeable within minutes of kite flying. You should size these gloves a size smaller than normal, as they seem to fit looser once wet. I am normally a large and, although the mediums feel almost too snug when dry, they are a perfect fit once out on the water. I use these with an Ocean Rodeo Soul Drysuit (also available from GreenHat Kiteboarding). I layer the gloves over the neoprene wrist seals, and the Velcro on the gloves keeps everything snug and neat. Then I put the large cuff of the drysuit over the gloves. Although the dexterity of these gloves is great, I recommend wearing something else for prepping your kite, walking out and untangling lines. The rubberized exterior can easily be repaired with AquaSeal glue, but I prefer to use a pair of leather work gloves until right before I get in the water. If you like to kite in cold weather, your weakest link will often be cold hands. These gloves will keep your hands happy! RATING REVIEW BY CHRIS / (POSTED ON 1/23/2016) HIGHLY RECOMMEND !!! I have owned alot of gloves over the years. These are very warm, functional, and non restrictive. Its been blowing 25knts in the middle of the winter and these gloves kept me warm. RATING REVIEW BY WALT KUKOWSKI / (POSTED ON 4/20/2013) BEST GLOVES EVER I never write reviews, but I was compelled to write this as once in a blue moon a piece of gear comes along that makes your life that much better- this is it. Kiting and windsurfing in Colorado I've tried all types of cold weather gloves, mittens, etc. They all have pros and cons, either too thick causing hand fatigue, or too thin not warm enough, or loss of dexterity with mittens. I was skeptical that these would be the answer. THEY ARE HANDS DOWN THE BEST COLD WEATHER/COLD WATER GLOVE I HAVE EVER TRIED! Amazingly no hand fatigue! And the fleece lining keeps you fingers super warm. I cant say enough good things about this glove. If you kite in a cold climate you have to try these, these gloves are great! RATING REVIEW BY JOHN IANNONE / (POSTED ON 3/29/2012) SUPER GLOVES These gloves are supper! No cold hands anymore!!!! RATING REVIEW BY VLADIMIR BUBELEV / (POSTED ON 1/5/2012) GREAT GLOVES The key for me is comfort and fatigue and these pre-curved gloves do not leave your hands and forearms aching. I have not gotten them out in the real cold stuff yet but I don't see them being a problem as the temps begin to drop. The Velcro wrist strap is another great feature, locking the glove in place. Great product that has a great design for kiting. RATING REVIEW BY BOB ALBRIGHT JR. / (POSTED ON 10/13/2011) GLOVES ARE GREAT Gloves are great. Thanks for your quick service and shipping. Don RATING REVIEW BY DON GREEN / (POSTED ON 12/21/2010) AWESOME! We were kayaking in -5 degress celcius here in Canada yesterday...with these glacier gloves...and there AWESOME!!! Highly recommend, comfortable, flexible and warm. RATING REVIEW BY DAVID BRADLEY / (POSTED ON 11/20/2010) FIT GREAT Gloves made the difference in comfort for my cold water session. They fit nicely, and the soft lining inside the gloves kept my hands from getting calloused even after hours of riding. I like how the gloves extended far over my wrist, overlapping the sleeve of my wetsuit to lock the cold out. Finally the velcro strap held the gloves nicely in place.
